"We joined Midvale Lutheran because of the down-to-earth welcome we received from the congregation and the leadership its pastors offered. Wellnitz "I would like to say that we are very pleased with our decision because we like your great sermons and enjoy the singing portion of your service that you do. We also like the whole music program--there is always good music. The people are warm and friendly. Several people went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There are many different kinds of volunteer projects that we hope to get involved in. The atmosphere is "the way a church should feel." I hope we can make someone else feel welcome. We are enjoying new friends. We haven't been in Madison too long and it has helped our transition." Holm "First, I would say that from the first time I visited people welcomed me and my son and introduced themselves. I always felt welcomed, I never felt like an outsider. Second, I really like the community involvement the church has. Such programs as Interfaith Hospitality Network, as well as many other community groups really shows Midvale's commitment to serving those not only in the congregation but those outside of it as well. Third, I heard nothing but positive things about Pastor Bruce. So, I decided this was the place for me." Lechelt "I wanted to send some comments in regards to our reasons for joining Midvale. Upon our engagement, my fiancée, Terry Taylor, and I wanted to find a church that allowed us to mix our faiths and backgrounds. Terry was raised a Catholic, and I a Lutheran. We have similar beliefs and needs when it comes to religion, and Midvale has allowed us to comfortably mix our backgrounds in a supportive environment. The relationship between a Pastor and a congregation is also very important to us. We wanted to belong to a Church where we could be in a relaxed environment, and feel as if we truly "belong" to the Church. Pastor Bruce and the staff at Midvale have been very welcoming to Terry and I, and we are very much looking forward to starting our lives together as husband and wife at Midvale in a few short weeks. In summary, we joined Midvale for its welcoming environment and its proximity to our backgrounds.
