Midvale Pride Team
Midvale is a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation, a designation given to Lutheran congregations who support the full welcome, inclusion, and celebration of LGBTQIA+ Lutherans in our churches, congregations, and communities. If you identify as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community or as an ally, and would like to get together with other Midvale folks for fellowship, thoughtful discussion, advocacy efforts, and/or service, here is a group for you!
Save the date - Pride Night at the Mallard's - June 13.
Our almost-annual congregational outing to attend a Madison Mallards game will be on Saturday, June 13 ("Pride Night at the Mallards"), at 6:05pm. The game is at Warner Park, aka, the Duck Pond, on the north side of Madison. Midvale has reserved a block of 30 regular seats and 5 accessible seats. Tickets are $16 each. This outing is sponsored by Midvale's Pride Team, and everyone, young and old, is welcome. Come for a fun night of baseball with your friends from church!
The Pride Team:
organizes Midvale's presence at Madison's Magic Pride Festival
helps put together a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) worship service each January
sponsors educational events and works with the synod's other RIC congregations
helps to equip Midvale members to proclaim God's inclusive love for everyone!
The group also plans occasional social events which are all about getting to know one another and spending time together in meaningful ways. For more information, contact Laura Svaren at lauras@midvalelutheran.org.
